background
due to new security enhancements, users may experience some problems trying to install or run inflight referencer on windows vista even though both products are compatible.
problem
users may have difficulty installing or running inflight referencer and or may receive an error message "inflight referencer has detected critical support files are missing."
remedy
users must select the run as administrator command to install and run inflight referencer.
to do this, first remove inflight referencer completely from your computer if you have already installed it.
next, you must install inflight referencer again, under the windows vista "administrator account" with elevation.
to do this, right-click the setup program and run the program as an administrator by selecting run as administrator (see image below).

right click the icon on the desktop, start menu or cd-rom drive and select run as administrator to successfully install or run inflight referencer.
additional notes
after installation is complete, ensure that when you launch inflight referencer that it is run under the administrator account by right-clicking the inflight referencer icon on the desktop or start menu and selecting run as administrator.
